Help wanted: Vermont is looking for assistance from first response contractors across the country as the state struggles after historic flooding.

Earlier this month, a storm dumped nearly 10 inches of rain on parts of Vermont. The disastrous flooding led to people losing their businesses or homes, and infrastructure concerns.

Gov. Phil Scott’s emergency order increases flexibility for some out-of-state workers aiding in relief, Vermont Public reported. Debris cleanup and road repairs are among the most immediate needs.
