Groups Assisting Kentucky Flood Victims with Cleanup, Temporary Housing

Volunteer-led groups across far western Kentucky are helping victims of recent flooding, WKMS reported.

The disaster – a result of intense overnight rainfall – damaged dozens of homes in the Purchase Area. Many Kentuckians living in areas hit by the December 2021 tornado outbreak were impacted, according to WKMS, a National Public Radio-affiliated station operated by Murray State University.

In addition to other assistance, groups are helping people remove debris and attain transitional housing.
